Twin Lagoon

Written By: Kaloy - Apr• 27•10

Two 805jointed lakes connected to the ocean by a tunnel trough a limestone wall is the best description to the twin lagoon. Just like joined twins this artery is the lake’s lifeline and source of life for all the organisms in the area. There is a fine film of fresh water over the much salty ocean water.

This mix of water gives the twin lagoon marine life on the bottom of the lake with some coral growth mixed with some fresh water fishes on the top. The lake also supports some harmless moon jellies at 20 ft / 9m deep. They do not got to the surface due to the low salinity but you will find them on starting at that depth.
